AUTUMN AT THE FROG AND THE PEACH:
SEASONAL FAVORITES AND A NEW SELECTION OF BISTRO FARE

 

Cooler temperatures whet the appetite for heartier flavors, and Chef Bruce Lefebvre’ autumn menu delivers some traditional favorites with his signature spin.  Seasonal starters include a light-as-air  Black Truffle Ricotta Gnochi tossed with almond basil pesto, the House Smoked Salmon plate accompanied by potato bread, poppyseed crème frâiche and celery root remoulade, Dill and Wild Mushroom Crepes stuffed with black truffles, local white cheddar and garnished with horseradish crème frâiche, and a Venison Carpaccio paired with red cabbage slaw and mustard seed “caviar”.  

 

Harvest-inspired main courses like Tea Cured Duck Breast with black mission figs and quince compote and smoked duck jus, Pumpkin Seed Crusted Grouper with gingered spaghetti squash and lobster sauce, and Maple Brined Berkshire Pork Loin Chop with house smoked bacon, barley risotto and apple cider pork jus take advantage of this season’s wealth of products.  Two organic meat offerings -- a Honey Thyme Glazed Organic Chicken and Organic Beef Tenderloin – are also available as well as enticing side dishes like Cauliflower Puree with golden raisins and capers and Sweet Potato Fries with house made pomegranate catsup.

 

A new addition to this menu is a selection of “Bistro Fare,” lusty dishes that are priced for everyday eating.  With appetizers like Marinated Mussels Escabeche with white beans, leeks, smoked red pepper jus and main course choices that include Cencioni Pasta with Braised Lamb Shank and Red Wine Braised Venison, these dishes are perfect paired with a one of the 15 wines by the glass for dining at the bar or in the newly renovated and winterized Garden Room.  This popular room has received a contemporary update which includes enclosed sides and radiant-heated black terrazzo floor – perfect for star gazing on crisp winter nights.

 

This Holiday Season, the Frog and The Peach will be open on Thanksgiving Day, serving a 3-course price fixed menu from 1pm to 7pm; on Christmas Eve from 5pm to 8:30pm serving the regular menu with seasonal specials, and for New Year’s Eve with a special 4-course price fixed menu.

 

 

The Frog and The Peach is open daily for dinner and for lunch Monday through Friday.
