Special Events at The Frog

The Frog and The Peach hosts several seasonal events each year for which we’ve become well known.

The Festival of Peaches

Established the summer of 2005, our Festival of Peaches celebrates New Jersey’s ripe and delicious home grown peaches with a special menu served for six to eight weeks during peak peach season. The special peach cocktails and 5-course menu (also available a la carte) showcase locally grown peaches prepared in different ways from raw to grilled, in salsas and compotes.

Truffle Extravaganza

Each December we celebrate our annual week-long ode to that dazzling delicacy, the truffle, with our Truffle Tasting Menu, a four-course tasting menu that is available in addition to our seasonal dinner menu. With dishes like Nantucket Bay Scallops in a Black Truffle Tomato Consommé, it is a delicious way to celebrate the festive holiday season.

Wine & Beer Tasting Events

Our formal Wine Tasting Dinners feature a multi-course dinner paired with wines centered on a theme: it may be selections from a celebrated wine maker; comparisons of the same grape from various regions or, perhaps, focus on a great vintage. One of our most popular annual dinners is a collaboration with one of our favorite guests and wine aficionado Mark Altom, who for eight years running has helped us put together a very special event. Our more casual Walk-Around Wine Tastings are a continuing series, held quarterly, that look at new wines that we have recently added to our list. They offer the chance to sample a variety of wine selections and passed hors d’oeuvres in a fun, relaxed setting.

Our annual Beer Dinner has become a not-to-be-missed evening for many of our customers. Each year Wine Director Jim Mullen finds an artisanal brewer doing very special things with hops and malt to pair with Chef Bruce’s modern American cuisine.
