What's Happening Now at The Frog...
"The Inside Scoop"
Did you know that The Frog and The Peach is one of the first restaurants in the state to install Solar Panels on the roof? Do you know that we sell our signature herb butter to-go? Cookies too? Well all of this is true and because we want a place to tell you about things like this we created this section of our web site. Consider it the "inside scoop" and we will share our passions and politics with those “insiders” who care to know.

Alumni Chef Wine Dinner and Benefit for Ronald McDonald House commemorates 25 years
The Frog and The Peach opened in June of 1983. 25 years later, in July 2008 we celebrated with a Special Wine Dinner with alumni chefs.
Proceeds benefited the local Ronald McDonald House.
In the spirit of reunion, alumni Chef David Drake, chef-owner of David Drakes in Rahway and Daryl’s in New Brunswick, alumni Chef Eric Hambrecht, chef-owner at the Stage House Restaurant in Scotch Plains, and Dan Slobodien formerly of Dan’s on Main in Metuchen and currently with Princeton University, joined Chef Bruce Lefebvre to create a 4-course menu featuring modern renditions of signature dishes from the Frog’s past. Wines were matched with each course by F&P Front of the House alumni now in the wine business; former GM Michael Apostolos now with Wine Bow, Pete “the bar tender” Reseska now of Matt Brothers and the tall handsome former server Jeffrey Sapara currently of Cognac One selected and presented the wines. The wine dinner began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Garden Room, followed by dinner. Frog and Peach memorabilia and photos were displayed throughout the restaurant including a "Trip Down Memory Lane Time-Line" with highlights from each of the past 25 years. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the New Brunswick Ronald McDonald House. Guests included F&P friends and regulars, former employees, the Alger-Black daughters who grew up in the business, and a few new fans. It was magical.
We have a lot to say and we have a lot of fans!
